LAEDA Program Updates

EDTP: The Entrepreneurial Development Training Program provides an alternate route to gainful employment for economically disadvantaged individuals through the establishment of their own business. This year we finished successfully two sessions. As a result we will generate businesses in the following industries: Business creation has been in all number of industries they include: construction: cleaning services, day care centers, hair salons, and so many more.

EDTP: The Entrepreneurial Development Training Program provides an alternate route to gainful employment for economically disadvantaged individuals through the establishment of their own business. This year we finished successfully two sessions. As a result we will generate businesses in the following industries: Business creation has been in all number of industries they include: construction: cleaning services, day care centers, hair salons, and so many more.
In order to improve our outreach efforts we signed affiliation agreements with the following institutions: Cathedral Kitchen, Catholic Charities, PBCIP, PRUP, Heart of Camden, and Salvation Army. Additionally, we added constant contact as a tool to generate great interest in LAEDA’s programs by keeping consistent communication with our followers and the community.

New Board Members
In 2010 LAEDA welcomed two new Board Members; Pablo Bianchi and William Gonzalez.
 

Pablo Bianchi

Pablo M. Bianchi, Member Elected to the board in September 2010, Mr. Bianchi is one of our newest members of the Board of Directors. He is a Certified Financial Planner with the Principals Financial Group. He is the former President of the Association of Latino Professionals in Accounting and Finance (ALPHA), Philadelphia. Through his involvement with ALPFA and other organizations, Pablo develops service and leadership opportunities for young people and industry professionals to promote the ethic of service, foster leadership, builds networks, strengthens the Latino community and enhances education in the Philadelphia area. Pablo's financial expertise combined with more than 15 years of public relations, marketing experience makes him a great addition to LAEDA's Board of Directors.

William Gonzalez

Mr. Gonzalez is one of newest additions to the Board of Directors. Currently he holds a position as a lead investigator with the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. As a former United States Marine, Mr. Gonzalez is passionate about law enforcement community. He is currently serving and has served for 15 years as President and State Delegate of the Camden County, New Jersey State Policeman's Benevolent Association Local 316. William also currently serves and has served for 5 years as President of the New Jersey Organization for Latino Law Enforcement. An entrepreneur in his own right, Mr. Gonzalez, until recently was the owner/operator of Wellington Home Mortgage, Vineland Branch. LAEDA looks forward to working with William and his unique perspective, commitment to community and entrepreneurial spirit.
