& Revitalizing the Community
On May 18th, 2016, Bertha Sarmina, Program Manager of LAEDA Women's Business Center, sits down with Jill Horner to discuss the new Women's Business Center.
Roxanne Robinson is the owner and operator of Enlightened Contractors, and a graduate of LAEDA’s Entrepreneurial Development Training Program. We had a chance to sit down with her to ask about her experience with entrepreneurship and LAEDA’s training program.
Local business owners gathered at LAEDA Headquarters to learn how to manage inventory and cash flow, estimate expenses, increase your profits, industry ratios, management formulas and much more. Denise Keller, UCEDC Training & Technical Assistant Officer, shared her expertise on how to run a retail business, and manage your inventory and cash flow in ways to benefit your small business.
On April 26, 2016, LAEDA was invited by the FCI Fort Dix Education Department to offer its services to a group of participants within the federal correctional institution. Ray Lamboy, President and Chief Executive Officer of LAEDA, felt it was a great opportunity to provide guidance to a group of men who were incarcerated within the walls of FCI Fort Dix. Also, he felt it would be fascinating to explore how entrepreneurship could possibly change the lives of these individuals once they have left the correctional facility.
