On Thursday July 18th, thanks to the efforts of the Camden Verified Program, LAEDA was able to match a local small business, Sustainable Style Studio, with Subaru. Terina Nicole Hill, owner of Sustainable Style Studio, had the honor to participate as a vendor for Subaru of America in Camden, New Jersey. Subaru has always been very passionate about their involvement in the city by working with small Camden based businesses through their community partner relationships. At this event, Terina was able to present her beautiful, bold, and vintage handcrafted fashion, home décor, and accessories.
Sustainable Style Studio is a Camden Verified business that has not only gone through the verification process, but has proven to have the skills and capacity necessary to offer its goods to large companies, such as Subaru. With her impressive art and designs, Terina was able to sell most of her inventory.
“Everyone at Subaru is very welcoming, very nice, and so helpful!” said Ms. Hill. “I am very happy that I decided to go through the process of Camden Verified, otherwise I would not had been opened to all these new opportunities,” added Ms. Hill.
Terina was very pleased with the outcome of this event that she will be returning to Subaru during the holiday season! In addition, Ms. Hill recently accepted an offer as a fashion design teacher at Creative Arts High School inspiring the youth in the City of Camden through art! Along with that milestone upon her business venture, Ms. Hill’s Sustainable Style Studio has been certified as a Woman, Minority Business Enterprise with the state of NJ. We at LAEDA are very proud of the accomplishments achieved by Sustainable Style Studio.
