Ocean First Foundation Supports Local Entrepreneurs with $5,000 Donation

On November 13, 2024, Ocean First Foundation demonstrated its commitment to fostering economic growth and entrepreneurship by presenting a $5,000 donation to LAEDA at its headquarters. Kathy Durante, Executive Director of Ocean First Foundation, personally delivered the check to LAEDA’s leadership team, including Ray Lamboy, President and CEO; Jamila Powell, Women’s Business Center Program Director; and Jiao Xu, Program Manager of LAEDA’s Business Services Center.

This generous contribution will support LAEDA’s Continuum of Business Education, a comprehensive suite of entrepreneurship training courses designed to empower individuals at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey. From aspiring entrepreneurs to seasoned business owners, the Continuum equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive marketplace.

Ray Lamboy, LAEDA’s CEO, expressed deep gratitude for the Foundation’s support. “We are honored to partner with Ocean First Foundation, whose generosity will help us expand access to life-changing entrepreneurial education,” said Lamboy. “This investment in our programs reflects a shared vision of economic opportunity and empowerment for our community.”

The collaboration between Ocean First Foundation and LAEDA underscores the importance of collective efforts to build resilient and thriving local economies. Together, they are paving the way for entrepreneurs to realize their dreams and strengthen the fabric of our community.
