LAEDA Celebrates Hispanic Heritage and Community Leadership in Bridgeton

Bridgeton, NJ — On October 14, 2026, the Bridgeton Area Chamber of Commerce and its Bridgeton Business Alliance Committee brought together business owners, community leaders, and residents for a special Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at Inka Chicken Restaurant in downtown Bridgeton.

The evening celebrated the contributions of the Hispanic community to Bridgeton’s cultural identity, economic vitality, and future growth. Under the theme “Unidos, Somos Más — Together, We Are More,” attendees enjoyed an evening of recognition, networking, and community fellowship.

A highlight of the celebration was the presentation of the Pioneer Award to Jonathan Cummings, President of Revive South Jersey, recognizing his contributions to the community. Additional community recognitions honored Joseph Cortez, Executive Director of CompleteCare Foundation, and Crystal Jurado, owner of Angeles & Blossoms, for their leadership and service.

Edward Bethea, incoming CEO of Gateway Community Action Partnership, delivered the evening’s keynote address.

LAEDA President & CEO Raymond Lamboy attended the celebration, demonstrating the organization’s continued commitment to supporting Bridgeton’s Hispanic community and the entrepreneurs and small business owners who contribute to the local economy.

LAEDA’s presence also reflected its continuing commitment to collaborating with the City of Bridgeton, Bridgeton Area Chamber of Commerce, and Bridgeton Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) to strengthen local businesses, expand access to entrepreneurial resources, and encourage economic opportunity throughout the community.

Through these partnerships, LAEDA continues to connect aspiring entrepreneurs and operating businesses with training, technical assistance, and resources that support long-term sustainability and growth.

The celebration was a meaningful reminder that Bridgeton’s greatest strength lies in its people, its entrepreneurial spirit, and the partnerships that help its communities thrive.
