Cumberland County, NJ combine practical marketing and business administration skills with hands-on store setup. Explore platforms
such as Etsy, Shopify, and eBay, then use Shopify to build and brand your store, upload product photos, and set up payment collection.
The goal: finish the series with at least one product available for purchase on your Shopify store.

Unit 1 — Choose Your Online Storefront – November 9, 2026 – 6pm – 8:30pm

Explore how ecommerce can expand your customer base beyond your local market. Compare online selling platforms and consider which best fits your products and customers. Begin creating your Shopify account and shaping your storefront’s appearance with your business name, branding, and customer-focused messaging.

Unit 2 — Get Ready to Take Payments – November 16, 2026 – 6pm – 8:30pm

Learn how online payments work and begin setting up payment collection in Shopify. Connect each sale to essential business practices, including understanding product costs, setting prices, accounting for selling fees, and keeping accurate records.

Unit 3 — List Your First Product – November 24, 2026 – 6pm – 8:30pm

Bring your storefront to life by uploading product photos, writing a clear description, and setting your price and inventory. Review shipping or pickup options and the customer’s purchasing experience. Prepare and publish your first listing, with the goal of making at least one product available for sale.
