On the evening of September 10th, Mr. Keith Whelan, Training Coordinator of UCEDC, taught QuickBooks basics to a virtual audience of 46 students representing businesses from both North and South Jersey.

With over 30 years of experience in financial sector marketing and small business development consulting, Mr. Whelan pointed out QuickBooks’ key features in relation to a small business’ bookkeeping needs. He also helped seminar attendees understand how to assess whether QuickBooks would be the most appropriate bookkeeping platform for their business’ needs.

“QuickBooks offers a range of opportunities to personalize your account specifically to your business’ needs,” said Mr. Springer. “How you utilize these features depends on your business’ unique needs.” Mr. Whelan proceeded to go through how QuickBooks’ services include expense and income tracking, payroll, inventory management, and tax preparation. Not only did Mr. Whelan explain QuickBooks’ features but showed a step by step process of opening a QuickBooks online account

Reflecting on the evening’s presentation, Kat Harrison, promised the attendees “she would look into organizing a QuickBooks II seminar.
