Camden, NJ- On Wednesday, April, 17th, LAEDA hosted yet another orientation for those embarking on the nine-week journey of entrepreneurship education, one-on-one counseling, and business planning to start or grow their businesses. The training lab at the corner of 5th and Market Streets (across from City Hall), was full of 15 businesses spanning a diverse body of industries.

In the room were individuals with businesses in photography, vinyl printing, streetwear, tutoring, lactation consulting, truck-driving school, and more. Entrepreneurs took turns sharing their motivations for enrolling and what drives them to succeed in the class. Many were inspired to enroll in the program by a family member, friend, or business owner they shop with who had trained under LAEDA.

The program is rooted in connecting business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to experts in their respective fields. Whether it’s business law, real estate, insurance, HR, or something else, the 30-plus nights of class are sure to cover it. Students are also matched with a member of LAEDA’s program staff and given individual counseling sessions for goal-setting and more nuanced challenges. As one recent graduate put it, “I learned so much, in such a condensed period of time – my business goals are no longer on hold, and every day I’m applying something from the class!”

As a reminder, LAEDA’s nine-week programs are free to all that apply. The next cohort will be in the Fall. Enrollment is now open – Apply Today!
