Camden, NJ- As part of its continued commitment to the community, LAEDA hosted the five week Quick Start Series in both English and Spanish at Salvation Army KROC Center. The program began on February 20th with the ABC’s of Stating a Small Business and will continue throughout March 19th with Business Plan I, Business Plan II, and Marketing, and Credit Management.

The Quick Start series is open to the general public so approximately 45 individuals took advantage of the opportunity to learn about all the considerations and requirements needed to start a new business. The five classes in the series are a stepping stone for many budding entrepreneurs who have an idea that they want to begin exploring.  Many who complete the classes will receive certificates and later go on to receive business counseling through the LAEDA Women’s Business Center.

“I was excited to see such a large number of people interested in the program. It was inspiring to hear the dreams and aspirations of each and every participant who attended the first night and I look forward to being a part of the action planning to help make those dreams a reality,” stated Quick Start instructor and LBSC Program Manager Kathryn Harrison.

LAEDA continues to provide high quality educational programs that are relevant and impactful to the community in South Jersey. It also strives to offer bilingual programs and services to the public.
