Camden, NJ – Starting a business in South Jersey can be difficult, but thanks to the TD Bank Foundation and its support of the Latin American Economic Development Association, Inc. (LAEDA), it got a lot easier. “We’ve been partnering with TD Bank for more than 10 years. Their continued support allows us to offer our programming to the residents of the City of Camden and now South Jersey,” said Raymond L. Lamboy, President & CEO. “We are proud of this partnership and looking forward to expanding on it in the future.”

The Entrepreneurial Development Training Program (EDTP) has been training individuals from all walks-of-life to start businesses.  EDTP is a nine-week 75 hour training course that is conducted three times per year.  Entrepreneurs learn about all aspects of starting and running a business and finish the course with a completed business plan.

“I want to thank TD for not only their generous gift, but for the support they provide us by way of using their bank branches to host our programming, “said Jamila Powell, Program Manager of EDTP.  “Also, TD’s  team in Bridgeton is so supportive of our entrepreneurs.”

In 2012, LAEDA expanded its program area to begin offering training and counseling Burlington, Atlantic, Gloucester and Cumberland counties.  Beyond EDTP, LAEDA offers one night seminars, the Quick Start Series, a five week course and Jump Start Series, a five week course focused on women entrepreneurs.
